Places for Life

Following its successful 2016 conference which explored the connection between the places where we live and our health, wellbeing, relationships, access to work, social life and impact on the environment, the Design Commission for Wales invited Studio Response to contribute to its post-conference publication, Places for Life.

Studio Response’s essay explores the role of arts and culture in place-making for residential developments and how it’s important to challenge commonly held preconceptions regarding public art and the process of working with artists, designers and makers in the public realm.
